Sandling Farmhouse – A Glimpse into Kent Life’s History
Sandling Farmhouse is a beautifully preserved example of traditional Kentish rural life, dating back to the late 19th century. Originally located near Maidstone, the farmhouse was carefully relocated to Kent Life, a heritage farm and open-air museum dedicated to preserving Kent’s rural past.

Lovingly restored to reflect the domestic life of a working farmhouse through the decades, Sandling Farmhouse offers a window into how families lived, cooked, and worked on the land. Each room showcases authentic furnishings and artifacts from the Victorian era through to the 1950s, highlighting the evolution of rural living in Kent.

Today, the farmhouse serves not only as a historical exhibit but also as a charming venue for events like Afternoon Tea in the Conservatory, blending heritage with hospitality.
