It’s National Pizza Day on 9th February, otherwise known as the best day ever!

Did you know that the term ‘pizza’ was first coined in Naples, Italy, in the 1600’s, though the origin of pizza is actually thought to date back to ancient times with Egyptians, Romans and Greeks serving giant flat breads with various toppings? Whoever made it first and for whatever reason, we love them!

We love a pizza at Kent Life and we’re lucky enough to have our very own wood-fired pizza oven, located in The Pizza Garden between the tea room terrace and the herb garden. We serve tasty, freshly made pizza with a variety of toppings so guests can enjoy something hot and delicious during their visit. Favourites include margherita, a classic meat feast, pepperoni and for those wanting to try something different, check out our daily special…yummy!

The Pizza Garden will be open daily throughout the February Half Term (12th – 20th) so wrap up warm and come and join us for February Fun & Frolics for a packed programme of activities! Guests will be able to meet plenty of animals and join in with feeding sessions, burn off some energy in the indoor and outdoor play areas and hop on a tractor ride or two. Don’t forget to pop into our Big Top Tent to watch a themed show, step back in time and explore the Vintage Village and even go on a wooden hunt to win a sweet treat. This is all made even better when you stop to enjoy a tasty slice of pizza!

We can’t wait to see you in February!
