Join us to celebrate our fruit harvest with our annual Apple & Cider Fayre. NEW for 2018 – see Basil Brush in the Big Top!
Kent Life boasts many varieties of apple, which will be hand picked from our historic orchards just days before the festival. Up to 35 varieties of the apples will be on sale here over the weekend to try & buy, some varieties even date back to the 1500’s! Along with your stash of apples don’t forget your free apple cookbook featuring some old fashioned favourites.
You can also watch the traditional process of apple pressing. Fresh apples are cut, crushed, pulped and then squeezed in our giant Victorian press to produce the most delicious apple juice.
A visit to the fayre wouldn’t be complete without sampling a cider or two! There will be a wide range in our cider tent, try one of our delicious cider cocktails; or visit one of our guest cider suppliers.
New for 2018 – cheeky and quick-witted Basil Brush will also be entertaining visitors of all ages in the Big Top.
Whilst you are here you can also enjoy:
- Live & local music
- Visiting our very own cider tent featuring the best the county has to offer
- Demonstrations & tours
- Local Morris dancers showing off their fancy footwork
- Apple crafts for children
- All your favourite Kent Life entertainment from Cuddle Corner to Tractor Rides.
We can’t wait to see you there!
